My name is Bruce Edward Smith. I’m a composer and musician, currently based near Dayton, Ohio USA. I started out in the Dayton area music scene in the 1970s and 1980s as a drummer, and became interested in electronic music along the way. My latest creative chapter began in 2012. when I started creating stock music for commercials, presentations, documentaries, podcasts and other media. My work has been licensed on five continents, and used in productions, including for National Geographic and PBS.
I’ve also released music for your moods, including:
- upbeat – single “Dream Catcher”
- mellow – ambient album Circadia, single “Morning Walk in the Sunshine,” space music single “Lights from Distant Stars”
- holiday – single “Snow Globe”
In 2019, I produced a podcast about the Dayton Triangles, one of the founding members of the National Football League, who won the first game played between two teams in the league (then called the American Professional Football Association). Production has wrapped, and links to those episodes are available here.
